I’m not selling this product or anything, I just simply want to share what I know works.
About 6 years ago I was on a constant search for something to help me lose weight. Once again, I tried everything possible and couldn’t seem to drop the weight. It took some time, but eventually I found the program that works. This cleansing program I did has been the most amazing product for me ( lost 25 lbs and went from a size 10 to a 5). The best part about it, is I’ve been able to maintain it all this time.
Click HERE for more info on that.
- Ice your face every night (I just use an ice cube directly on my skin, ice all over until it melts)
- Use mineral make up
- Get monthly chemical peals
- Try to use Sea Salt whenever possible, the iodine in regular salt can trigger breakouts.
- Cleanse (internally)
- Take Zinc ( I read a lot of reviews on this, and found that people are seeing great results)
Zinc and Acne: Zinc Clears Acne
If you currently have outbreaks and zits all over, you may use zinc supplements to alleviate what you are going through. Zinc can help heal your blemishes, reduce the inflammation, and reduce the androgenic effect of hormones on your skin. Thus, if you want your pimples to heal faster, taking some zinc supplements may be a good idea. zinc is closely involved in protein synthesis and in collagen formation in your body, both of which are essential in the maintenance of healthy skin and in normalizing production of skin oils. If you have been to a dermatologist and have been advised to take tetracycline, you may find it interesting that zinc is as effective as this antibiotic for preventing acne.
You can also google zinc and acne to find what other people are saying about it. I really believe that it helps. I still deal with the monthly breakouts due to hormone changes, but I just load up on the zinc and I REALLY notice a difference FAST. I take about 200-300 milligrams a day, and make sure you eat a big meal with it, because it WILL make you nauseous.

amazing results! It took me forever to find a protect that worked wonders on my skin. I am Italian so I tend to have a greasy T zone. I actually use a product from a line called Beauti control and haven't had a break out since.
Thanks for sharing your awesome results!

Wow this is so exciting! Thanks for showing your before and after pictures. Your skin looks great now! I´m glad you found a good Esthetician. I am a Esthetician myself and I´ve seen so many great results. Can you tell, I love my job. :o) I have one tip that is also working. Moisture is very important for the skin. People always think when they have lots of zits, it´s better not to put on a moiturizer so your zits can dry out. This is not true! Moisture helps your skin to recover. Also put at least once or twice a week a moisture mask on your skin for 15 minutes and you will see very soon great results.
Hugs, Verena

Thank you so much for sharing. Sometimes when we share a story that we feel embarrassed by at times we find that it may help someone in the same situation. I am sure by sharing yours…someone will be helped. Thanks!

Great tips, I am always looking for ways to clear up my skin. I'm so sensitive to products, it's hard to find something that works. Your skin looks great though!!

Great tips! I've heard of taking zinc. I tried proactive for a while. It worked, but I think my skin became intolerant after a while. I started breaking out again after two years of use. I'm always on the lookout for something that works.

Your skin looks gorg, darlin! Really, ice? Hmmm, I'll have to try that. I like to do alternating warm and cold water splashes a few times before I moisturize.
Lovin' your blog!

WOW! Your skin is amazing! I deal with breakouts on a very regular basis and I'm so tired of it. Let's just say I was VERY thankful for a photographer who does a great job with retouching when I had my photos taken a little while ago. I wish I lived near your friend…I'd give her a call for sure! I use mineral makeup and it does make a difference. I'll try the zinc!

Zinc totally makes sense. It affects a persons skin quite a bit. Great post.

The after shot is really amazing. I took tetracycline when I was a teen but luckily I didn't have any of those yucky side-effects. My skin cleared up for me when I became an adult. Thank goodness.

The Zinc and ice cube are such interesting ideas! I've never heard of that, but I am going to get an ice cube out of the fridge right now. If I can have skin like yours (it GLOWS in all your pictures), then I'll try it!

Thanks for the tips. I've had acne since I was 12 and I'm now 26. Although it's not as bad as it used to be it's still embarrassing.

Wow Crystal that IS amamzing! I have been blessed with decent skin–it's other areas I'm a complete mess in!
Angie Muresan says
You have amazing skin, Crystal. Of course you are beautiful either way. I had no idea about the iodine in regular salt causing breakouts. Thanks for that tip!
By the way, I was reading my grandmother's dairy yesterday that she had written when she was a teen, and she exclaims over the horror of her doctor recommending that she dab her face with an urine soaked washcloth to dry her pimples up.
Deborah Ann says
Thank you Crystal! I have rosacea, and pretty much gave up on finding any help. I'm going to try the zinc and the ice, and maybe give Sacred Skin a call. I had laser treatment, and that didn't help one bit, plus insurance didn't cover it. So glad I met you!

I followed you from SITS because of the blog post title, so I'm glad it didn't update properly.
I've never heard the things about iodine or zinc that you mention. My post today was about eye makeup and someone I know IRL asked me about foundation, thinking I didn't wear any – that was about the best thing I could hear. Although, I think she must be blind HAHA!

That really did help. I'm going to use it with my 15 yr old son, who is going through such a phase of hating his skin.
Of course, Ithink he looks beautiful, but he only sees the acne.
We're going to try your steps. Thank you for this.
