We’ve lived in our Salt Lake home for about 10 years now. When we first moved in it seemed to be the perfect home for us. It’s an older home so of course we had a few ideas as far as updating goes, but the location, layout, size, was all just perfect. Over the years we’ve been remodeling like crazy. Right now we are in the process of remodeling our great room, lots of pics on that project coming soon. But today I wanted to show you how we turned out tiny little masterbath into an extreme make over and got the perfect bathroom remodel. We basically opened the space above the garage and were able to create a massive walk in closet with space for a washer and dryer, sauna, steam room, and workout station. Who knew we had so much dead space available to expand this much.
So you see those white doors in the bathroom? That was our closet. It’s like The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, behind those doors reveals a magical world we never knew existed.
So basically we just opened up the space above the garage and carried it over all the way into the great room and created a balcony for our bathroom remodel.

FUN FACT: I gave birth to my 4th child (Owen) in this bath tub.
Here’s a little bonus room we added. A place for a sauna and a little study desk. This area has turned into my little scripture study and blogging space. It’s perfect.
