So, how many bachelor fans do we have out there?
ME ME ME
Okay, I’m curious, what do you all think about Brad Womack being back for another chance? Is he sincere? Or does he just want to mac with a bunch of girls again.

And what do you think of Michelle? I’m not trying to gossip or anything, but did you know that my husband grew up with her? I actually met her once a couple years ago at the zoo. She was so nice too! I have to admit though, I was a little jealous of how pretty she was. When my husband and I ran into her that day and he introduced us, I was thinking to myself, wow, she’s gorgeous. When we walked away my first question to Sean was, “so did you date her “? The answer was no, which to be honest was what I wanted to hear 🙂 I’m sorry, when it comes to my husband, I get a little… how do you say…
POSSESSIVE
Thankfully my husband never looks twice at another girl and always makes me feel like I’m the most beautiful women to him, which fulfills a major need of mine 🙂
Speaking of the Bachelor and how great my husband is, the other night I actually felt like I was on one of those amazing dates from the show. Sean planned an elaborate date for us over the weekend, could have even been a scene from the movie Pretty Women. Okay I’m exaggerating a bit, but I do like to pretend I’m Vivian sometimes.
We always have a weekly date night, but Sean decided he wanted to surprise me with an extra special night out on the town. He made reservations for us at the Melting Pot. It’s a restaurant down town Salt Lake City that specializes in Fondue entrees and desserts. I was so excited because I’ve never been there before and the food was to die for!!!!

THEN, as if that wasn’t enough, he bought us some great seats to the Opera! Seriously!!! What kind of husband does that…

MINE 🙂

Don’t mean to brag, but I just LOVE him 🙂 He hates to go to plays, and musicals too, so it really meant a lot to me. The cool thing about this show is that it was Hansel and Gretel in GERMAN!!! There was a screen above with subtitles, but I was so excited to get to hear it all in German ( I learned German from serving and LDS mission in Germany).

It was so good I almost peed my pants!!!

I mean… it was better than Pirates of Penzance.

You all know I’m quoting Pretty Women right?

So anyway, if you’re new here you may not have seen the interview I posted of Kyla Dickerson from season two. You should check it out, it was so interesting to hear what really goes on behind the scenes.

On another note, I got some new boots and jeans, yay!!!

I got them at Buckle, and right now all their boots are on sale!!! I couldn’t find these boots on their website, but I did find them somewhere else. You can click HERE to see them. The jeans are a pair of their BKE skinny jeans, which I absolutely LOVE, probably because I LOVE wearing boots so much and skinny jeans look awesome with boots!

So as you all know, I’m a stickler to the “out with the old in with the new” rule. Each time I get anything new I get rid of something old. So, I would like to give away a pair of boots and a pair of jeans to the first person who tells me they want them, and will also be willing to pay for the shipping. Just leave a comment with your email and we’ll discuss the details that way.
These boots are a size 8.5 and I got them from Nordstroms for around $100. I actually don’t know what brand the jeans are and can’t remember where I even bought them. They are a size 5.

Imma Model ~ ~ ~ Ya know what I mean…

No I’m really not but sweet Kendra Hales, the founder and designer of Impel clothing made me feel like one for a day 🙂 I got to get my hair and make up done and get all dressed up in her cute clothes for a photo shoot. It was so much fun and also FREEZING!!!

In Need of Some Inspiration… PLUS a Giveaway!

So guess what? Did you know that it’s been a WHOLE year now since I started my blog? I really can’t believe it! 179 posts, 65,000 visits, 485 followers, 860 facebook fans, and 3,764 comments later. Not that the stats really matter… okay, who am I kidding, the stats TOTALLY matter 🙂 It’s really what keeps me going, if I didn’t have all the support of you guys then what would be the point. I might as well just keep a journal instead of a public blog. Really though, I am truly grateful for all your kind words of encouragement and advice. I’ve grown so much and learned so much over the past year, and I really have you all to thank.
Okay, so now the reason for the title of this post. I must tell you, writing a song is FLIPPIN HARD!!! I’m not going to give up no siree, but I have developed a whole new appreciation for song writers. I’ve been sticking to my commitment but I’m in MAJOR need of some inspiration. This whole process has been pretty discouraging, but as I persist I’m finding it a little easier… well not easier, but I guess a little less daunting. This type of thing does not come easy to me, but I’m reminded of the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier, not that the task itself has become easier, but that our ability to perform it has improved.”

Fall Fashion Giveaway!!!

Don’t you just LOVE this lace shirt? You can wear it with anything! Over a shirt, or even under. I’m pretty much obsessed with gray and wear it all the time, it’s a great color for this time of year. I meant to take a closer picture of the bracelet I got, can you see the fabric flower attached to it? I got the lace shirt for $20, the bracelet for $15, and the pants for $40. Aren’t those GREAT prices?

I got the pink shirt for $39, the black dress for $39, the earrings for $19 and the gray cardigan for $20.

New Stylish Coat And Cute Skirts!!!

I’ve done a little more shopping recently, and of course I want to show you what I got, where I got it, and how much it was. I’ve kind of developed some subconscious shopping rules. I have limits on how much I’ll spend on certain items. For example, I won’t spend more than $200 on ANYTHING. I think that purses, boots and coats that cost any more than that are INSANELY over priced. I think $100 for a pair of jeans or boots is a little much, but I’ve come to terms with it. As much as I’ve tried to find a cute pair of great fitting and comfortable jeans for less than that price, I realized they are few and far between. So I allow myself ONE new pair of boots, and ONE new pair of jeans every fall season. Same goes with coats or jackets. I haven’t found my new pair of boots or jeans for this year, but I DID find my coat, and I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

Don’t you just adore the corset- tie back!!! I got it from Bebe for $159. It was a little pricey, but I couldn’t resist!!! When I looked on the website for this jacket, couldn’t find it, but I did find one almost exactly the same. Everything about it is the same except the material. The link I used will take you directly to the coat I’m talking about. I bet they still have the one I got in stores now. It’s only been a week since I purchased it.

I got the boots last year from Nordstroms, and the leggings from Kohls.

I got both of these cute vintage looking skirts from Sweet Briar Hollow. They were around $40 each, can’t remember exactly, but I just LOVE them. I got the necklace from them as well, but got it last year so I’m not sure if they still have this exact one.
Sweet Briar Hollow. I get all my basic t-shirts from Downeast . I always get every color at the beginning of each summer, the shirts are only $10 and they are so comfortable. They sell long sleeve shirts too, and I usually get a bunch of different colors in the fall as well.
