I’ve always loved the safari theme. I even used this theme in my own room as a teenager. So what I did was picked out all the fabric I wanted, then had this set made by a neighbor of mine, who is also an interior decorator. She did an amazing job!!!

I found these light switch covers on Ebay. Aren’t they cool!

This picture turned out really blurry, but just wanted you to see how cute this little playroom is.

Lily slept in this toddler bed for a while when Oliver was a newborn. But she grew out of it quick so we moved her into the loft.

Master Bedroom Pics!!!

Here is a picture of what it looked like when we moved in.

Then I spiced it up with a little wall color and some blue and brown accents.

I got the bedding from Bed Bath and Beyond.

We even had Lily’s bed in there for a while too, but that’s a whole different story which I’m sure I’ll tell you about one of these days.

So after a few years of that I was ready for a change. Here are the pictures of what it currently looks like. I decided on green and black for the colors and I’m really lovin it.

We got the furniture from Eway Furniture

I got the black blanket and pillow cases from Target.

Then dressed up the shades a little with some ribbon and a hanging ornament.

I took off the closet doors and added these drapes instead. I just wanted to add a little more color to the room.

And this is where the magic happens.

Lily’s Bedroom Revealed!!!

Okay I finally got Lily’s room completed. I had been searching for months for a little chandelier to be the finishing touch, either they were all WAY too expensive, or not the right color. I really wanted a black one, but never found a black one that I liked, finally I just bought a white one from Home Depot and spray painted it black. It’s just PERFECT now!!! I’m so excited about the way it turned out. I did get a little inspiration online and mentioned this in my Cute Girls Bedroom post. This room is pretty much everything I dreamed of as a little girl.

I got these drapes from Target. First I got the clip rod rings, then I bought the sheer black, and a set of plain white drapes. Then I clipped them together with the rod rings and hot glued these pink flowers onto them.

I got this lamp at Target, added the ribbon and a crown broach to add a little bling 🙂

For the frame, I just got a plain wooden one from the craft store, bought some scrapbook paper, cut it to fit, then added a little modge podge, painted the edges black and added the pink ribbon.

I bought these letters in white, but painted them black and hot glued the flowers and jewels onto them.

This little piece of furniture was left behind when we bought this house. I just painted it black, painted the knobs and hot glued the fleur de lis onto them.

I got this cute little night light from Target as well.

This room is in the basement and has come a long way since we moved in. First we had to get new ceilings since had holes all over from renovating the kitchen. They had to get to all the pipes that way.
Fresh paint, new carpet, new windows, new light fixtures, outlet covers and changed out all the door knobs from gold to a nice brushed bronze.

My Craft Room

Today I wanted to show you what my craft room looks like. I’m actually in the process of organizing it, and have been on the search for some cute storage baskets and bins. MARRIAGE IS ALL ABOUT COMPROMISE

Loft~ House Update (3rd Edition)

Now for the Loft. This room was pretty easy to update. Just needed a little paint. I used a chocolate brown for the walls, and a light cream for the little nook, then just painted the banister black.

I’ve actually done a little rearranging lately, so here is the UPDATED updated version 🙂

I’m pretty proud of this because I did it all by myself. I painted this built in bookshelf with the cream color I used in the nook. Then after that, I rubbed brown stain over the top and wiped it off, that way it gives it the antique look by leaving the dark stain in the cracks and creases.

This loft actually doubles as Lily’s room for now. Since there are only two rooms upstairs and the rest are in the basement, we decided to make Lily a bed closer to us. Once her and Oliver get a little older I will move them both down to the basement together. I’ve been working on their rooms downstairs.
